Strophe Horizon greatly benefits from having a diverse and welcoming community. With that said, there needs to be a statement about piracy of Revo's, or anyone else's works. It is none of our business what you do, or don't do outside of Strophe Horizon, but don't bring it here. We would love to see the artists that we feel passionate about flourish and prosper from grand sales. With that said, it's also a very grey area when we discuss inflation, shipping, or just general hard times.
Of course, if the songs are allowed on Youtube, of all places, that is a different story. This kind of online representation helps with publicity. How many of us wouldn't know what Sound Horizon is without the songs allowed on Youtube, Nico, or another platform? Even though it is easy to just write it off as something that should be avoided, more often than not would prefer to listen before purchasing. It is also a very convenient way to share translations, raising publicity even more.
With that said, Strophe Horizon is first and foremost a platform for discussion. Lyrics, scans, translations, Youtube videos, as well as general information is free to be shared, when used for discussions. Revo expressed his own wishes that there is only room for 1 free listener in this world, and we at Strophe Horizon are happy to try and follow that example. I sincerely hope that there is an understanding of these sentiments, and the breaching of this special rule will not be treated lightly. I hope that everyone can understand that while each of us bears a different situation financially, the stance held at Strophe Horizon is unwavering. And, yes, this also applies to sharing leaked music or videos.
